Another Rabid Animal

http://www.aahealth.org/rabid-raccoon-found-at-quiet-waters-park-in-annapolis

This is the second rabid animal found in our county in less than a month. A stray cat bit an elderly man in Millersville recently. It was rabid and he had to go through the shots.

For a terrifying and depressing look at rabies try this article: http://www.hindustantimes.com/Punjab/Bathinda/Rabid-dog-s-biting-spree-leaves-16-critical-in-Moga/Article1-1137257.aspx

No vaccine for rabies victims in Moga. I believe less than five people have survived rabies infection. Ever. In the entire history of humans vs rabies. Vaccine needs to be available.

Another depressing article about the prevalence of rabies in Yemen. The ratio of owned to feral/stray dogs is disturbing, as is the infection rate among these animals. But Yemen residents aren't just being infected by canines; all kinds of animals are attacking including a donkey and a cow.
